Education (Early Childhood to Post-Secondary and Beyond)

High-quality education programs provide fundamental development support to children, teens, and adults, and can boost education, health, and economic outcomes. The Research & Evaluation Group – in community with Research for Better Schools at PHMC – is committed to ensuring high-quality and inclusive education, by implementing scientific evaluation practices, providing technical assistance, and analyzing and presenting data for improving programs along the educational spectrum, including those from early childhood through post-secondary education in the mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Our team has led policy studies and evaluations focused on Early Childhood Education workforce development; employer-sponsored childcare programs to support staff, students, and families; high school drop-out prevention; science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) initiatives; and teacher professional development.

Some of our past and current funders include the William Penn Foundation and the School District of Philadelphia, Allentown School District, Bryn Mawr College, and Rutgers University.
