Sexual and reproductive empowerment and health can significantly impact people of all orientations and genders. Social determinants of sexual and reproductive health often limit access to services and education. Our group conducts research and supports programming to further sexual and reproductive justice, equitable services, and culturally competent, comprehensive education for people at all stages of life. Members of our team are experts in sexually transmitted infections (STI) and teen pregnancy prevention, and working with community-based organizations, federal funders, as well as community advisory boards. Our work includes a rigorous evaluation of a teen pregnancy prevention program for North Philadelphia youth and their parents; the development and evaluation of a CDC Compendium of Evidence-Based Interventions program; a research study on LGBT older adults’ needs; and an evaluation of an innovative initiative for young men who have sex with men (MSM) and those at risk for substance use.
