Trauma, Violence & Human Trafficking

Our team understands the pressing – and often hidden – systems of oppression that shape human trafficking and other acts of physical and emotional violence that put some Philadelphians at increased risk for abuse and related health issues. Our team’s work has included program evaluations of federally funded human trafficking initiatives; research on the characteristics of victims and perpetrators of youth homicides and intimate partner violence; an assessment of services available to victims of crime; and research to identify the prevalence of adults who have experienced adverse childhood experiences; in addition to participation in the Philadelphia Anti-Trafficking Coalition.

Some of our past and current funders include The Salvation Army, Women Against Abuse and Nationalities Service Center.
